A CHRISTMAS GREETING FROM CFOI PRESIDENT, JOHNSON THOMAS: Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. December is a special month ordained for us to reflect on the past year and prepare our soul to pray and receive Christ anew. “Praise the Lord, O my Soul! And all that is with in me Praise, Emmanuel, His Holy Name”! A mighty name that is above all names, the name at which every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2: 9-11).
In 2019, God gave CFOI the theme “Emmanuel, God With Us” for our Board Meeting, Training and South Asia Regional camp held in early October at Dehra Dhun, India. Uncertainties and challenges mounted from the very beginning of the year, yet we experienced “Emmanuel, God with us” in a special way. The promise of Christ’s presence, kept us going ahead… as did Vice President, Bryan Holland’s con
stant encouragement and reference to a certain very flexible character… Now Let Us Bend!
The Board meeting started with very few to begin with, but God was amidst us as “Emmanuel”, to swell it to a great success. The CFOI regional training was a mighty experience with 16 vibrant trainees from the South Asia Region and 6 Trainers from all over the world. The regional camp was more like an international camp with participants from all over the world. Amidst the lush green environment of the Christian Retreat Center, each session of the camp was filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit, and a blessed glow still remains. In sharing together we came to know that prayers were answered and healings were experienced.
God continues to Bless me and my family in Florida, USA. God gifted us with a house on September 1, 2018 at Miramar, Florida, not far from Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports. We would be very happy to welcome you whenever you visit Florida. I continue my job in the travel agency which is a blessed experience, but CFOI is job that blesses me in so many ways, and enriches my daytime job, and my entire life.
For me, CFO can also stand for “Connections Farthest Out”. The connections and love of the praying people from around the world is my “payment” from CFOI. For the responsibility given to me as President and God’s wonderful provision throughout my term, I praise and thank God!
I firmly believe and affirm that; God is Emmanuel to me and my family in special ways for which I am always indebted to Him. Unless we experience, Emmanuel in a very personal way, our life is futile. His Presence helps us to go Farthest Out with Christ, and for Christ, to bear fruit like a tree planted by the streams of water, to make the place where we are, a better place, than what it was. We are BLESSED TO BLESS!!!
