Living Prayers: I recently asked CFO leaders how camps help us to become living prayers, world changers and peacemakers. I’d like to share some of the responses and invite you to comment with your own thoughts on this.
Our February issue of the Newsletter celebrates the 75th anniversary of the incorporation of Foundations Farthest Out, which became CFO International. Looking back at our roots, it is clear that we need to continually reach out and stay involved. We must be living prayers!
Here are some answers I received:
Reply from United States:
“The camps show us ways to pray effectively for each other and for peace. The foundational writings by Glenn Clark and others tell us about real prayer that creates results both in ourselves and in the world.
They also give us the chance to experience a place of peace – where people work and sing and pray together in spite of political, denominations and life differences. This is a place to experience unconditional love, so that we know peace is possible outside of camp too. Camps also help us understand our feelings, by listening to God in the quiet times and sharing.”

Reply from Australia:
“Being together with like-minded people in the context of a camp where we do not have the interruption of everyday events, etc., means that we can create a place where we can go deeper and learn what it means to be a world changer. My sadness about our camps in Australia is that they only go for a long weekend. I think it would be wonderful to have a whole week to practice living in the kingdom before we had to return home.”
