CFOI HAS GONE PAPERLESS! We are no longer mailing our news in hard copy. Thanks to many of you for the positive feedback and constructive criticism regarding our e-newsletter/BLOG. We hope that CFOI’s online presence via our website and Facebook pages will help keep CFO’ers on the Belt of Prayer connected, engaged, and inspired. As always, we welcome your communication with us by email at cfoicoordinator@gmail.com.

CFOI FINANCIAL SUPPORT: CFOI is supported solely through donations. It does not matter how much you give, but that you give. It’s amazing what just $150 can do (as you will see in the story below) in Peru, Kenya, Philippines or wherever the Lord directs the funds. When you support CFOI you support 1.) the development of new camps, 2.) the training of leaders, and 3.) the online efforts of CFOI to connect CFO’ers around the globe. You can give very easily at www.cfointernational.com by using the DONATE button. You will be directed to a third party website and the rest is simple. We still gladly accept checks made out to CFOI, and sent to CFO International, PO BOX 4394, Peabody, MA  01961. Please pray about giving $5, 10, or $15 a month.

CFO TRAINING MANUAL SWAHILI TRANSLATION! The CFO Training Manual has been through a few inceptions since it was created over thirty years ago. We believe that Glenn Clark’s vision of the Camp Farthest Out is an expression of wholistic spirituality not found in many programs. As the CFO movement spread around the globe, it was important to insure that CFO stayed CFO and did not become something else. Thus the training guidelines were born. They were eventually translated into Spanish and German, and now with the help of CFO’ers from the South Pacific region we will see them translated into Swahili. CFO’er, Richard Chemwa, and the National Council Ring of Kenya are currently engaged in this project. The startup cost is $150, but more will be needed. Please pray about supporting this effort.

A SEASON OF PRAYER IN ACTION: Late last year, CFOI shared an ongoing prayer focus using the pamphlet A Season of Prayer in Action. Coupled with using this pamphlet CFO’ers around the globe are praying for a different country each week. You can see what country we are focusing on by LIKING our Facebook page or signing up for the United Prayer Tower email. See the full blog, A Season of Prayer in Action, here. See the pamphlet here.

FRANK BEADLE, 96: Frank and his wife, the late Doreen Beadle, were strong leaders in CFOI’s South Pacific region for many decades. Their prayer and faithfulness to the CFO was a powerful testament to Kingdom Living. To be in a prayer group with Frank was to be present to the power of our God that he was in such close communion with. The entire Beadle family has a rich and long heritage in CFO in Australia and internationally with five generations attending CFO in Perth. Frank’s life was a testament to creative living as the joy of the Lord was truly his strength (Neh 8:10). He embodied the old CFO song, Dream Large, My Soul, Dream Large. Blessings to the Beadle family and praise to God for the life of Frank (picture, far right).

SHARING CFO: Have you ever had trouble explaining just what CFO is to anyone? CFOI has recently updated the ABOUT US section of our website. Please check it out.

CFOI ANNUAL BOARD MEETING: Will be held in conjunction with the ACFO Annual Meeting from May 7-10, 2018, at the Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center, Leesburg, FL, USA. Please pray for this upcoming meeting. RVP’s and NCR chairs please email cfoicoordinator@gmail.com if you are still in need of information regarding the board meeting.

CFO IS AN ORGANISM: We are an organism, not an organization. If the word ‘organism’ seems strange, try replacing it with the word ‘movement.’ In a movement there is ebb and flow, there are highs and lows, there are times of blossoming and times of falling leaves. Like a tree or plant, we respond to the ‘seasons’ of the Holy Spirit. The beauty of ‘organism’ or ‘movement mentality’ is that growth is not measured necessarily in numbers of camps that take place or money taken in. It’s measured in lives that have been transformed. When it’s winter, we’re not dead, we’re dormant, waiting for the spring… and spring will come! One of the hard and fast rules of CFO is that we pray for the CFO every day. It’s the water the plant needs. Let us embrace The Camp Farthest Out as a living, breathing, reflection of the light of God. In doing so we will experience all that happens as a healthy breathing in and breathing out and peace will begin in and with each one of us.

“How lovely are the messengers that preach us the gospel of peace” Rom. 10:15
