Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
We praise the Lord for a successful Annual Board Meeting 2026 conducted in the last week of May. An excerpt from my report: ‘We labour together in His vineyard as fellow citizens with God’s people in the CFO family, built on the foundation of the Heroes of faith who have gone before us with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone. I’m reminded of Nehemiah building the dilapidated walls of Jerusalem. There were many seen and unseen forces that did not want the walls to be rebuilt. God’s people rebuilt the wall with building tools in one hand and a weapon in the other, together in unity and purpose. We too will build the crumbling walls of CFO – building together and building strong, not with our power, might and strength but with the Spirit of the Lord that is upon us.’
I’m thankful to the CFO Melbourne ring, Australia for the invitation to be a part of the Burnside CFO family camp just after Easter from the 16th to the 19th April 2026. I take this opportunity to thank the Melbourne Ring for their dedication and also the time of discussion we had with leaders for the successful conduct of CFO camps. It was a blessed and memorable experience for me and delighted to meet Julie & Lex Price all the way from Brisbane along with Susan and Vic, RVP Mark Beadle and Noella Ross.
The Spirit of the Lord is moving and He is doing great things around the world. You will see that as you go through the photos and read this Newsletter.

Meditation on Ephesians 2:19-22

Outcast, wanderer, foreigner, stranger.
So long an exile. Nowhere to belong. Always the questions, never a welcome, Always a sadness we hear in your song.
Where do you come from? How did you get here?
What are you after? A job? A home?
Lord Christ says to feed you, a coat to warm you.
Come and meet Jesus. Be washed clean in His foam.
Lord Jesus, please call me, I want to follow, I trust You, You’re different. . .
The Christ shakes His head: “To be different means danger.
Your dreams are hollow. Nowhere is My Home ‘Twixt the quick and the dead.

Burnside Camp - CFO Australia
Burnside CFO Camp Australia, 16th to 19th April 2026
Theme Verse: ‘The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.” Deut 31:8
Dear Fanner Bees,
Thanks so much for covering the Burnside CFO Camp in prayer. The Ring had seriously thought it would be our last camp at Anglesea. When we added up the numbers of people who said they could come, it was not very many. Could we reach 30 which was the minimum, and the number we would at least have to pay for?
However, we kept preparing in faith, trusting God that we could still do two camps per year. Our CFO National duo, Fran and Patricia, worked enthusiastically and one of the young people, whose life has been transformed, continued to invite more young ones.
Support came from interstate in the form of 5 from Brisbane, who ably supported the music and the audio-visual presentations. Two came from Western Australia, and a mother and her 2 children came from Tasmania to swell our ranks. Another two people came from Melbourne for Friday to help lead singing. Grace’s sister, who lives in Melbourne, came for the first time as did 3 young teens. A CFO’er, formerly from Fiji was there, and also a CFO’er from PNG. How supported we felt with our interstate and overseas visitors!
We had 2 family groups: Colleen was delighted to have her son, his wife and their 2 young children with us, and also an adult granddaughter who continues to come each year. Bron was accompanied by both her daughters, and 3 grandchildren.
The younger children softened our hearts with their ‘joie de vivre’. The children led our singing on Sunday morning under the guidance of Colleen. I couldn’t help but be over the moon with two daughters and three grandchildren all being so involved.
My two-year-old grandson loved helping me set up Communion on Sunday. When it was time to help ourselves to wafer and grape juice, quick as a wink, he followed me to help himself, and sat down, carefully sipping his little glass. “Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them,” was my UCA guide to this being OK. I experienced heavenly joy in full measure, imagining that Robin, my late husband, was aware of the commitment that was happening in that little head and heart.
Our thanks to all those who helped in various ways: our photographers and those who took on leadership roles for various aspects of the program: Creatives, Prayer, Meditation, and World Prayer Broadcast. Several people were blessed with healing during a spontaneous prayer session one afternoon.
Most of us were needing R&R this year, including a day visitor who chose CFO for part of her healing.
Some of the highlights were:
Grace Paljor, our International President of CFO was the speaker. She gave a moving description of the history of Christianity in Kashmir. We were amazed to hear that her father-in-law was instrumental in bringing CFO to Kashmir. Grace and I are very old friends, having met in Sri Lanka at a CFOI Regional years ago. Sheryl Monroe, our Coordinator at the time, encouraged us to wear each others’ national costumes. I took my sari, purchased in Malaysia when Robin and I lived there and Grace helped me to get dressed in it. It was lovely to see Grace, her sister, and a CFO’er from Fiji singing in their national costumes for our Saturday night’s Galilean night.
Our expanded music team was a real highlight, as was the walk on the beach at night, and the walk to the cliff top in the afternoon.
We are very grateful to the National Ring, the Brisbane Ring, and the Regional Vice President, Mark Beadle who helped with funding. This enabled us to provide Camperships for several people.
The mix of all ages and stages was a delight, especially for Colleen and me, in our old age, who had three grandies each. Also the mix of races and cultures added to the multi-cultural flavour of CFO. What a blessing Colleen has been to Melbourne CFO! She came from Adelaide CFO years ago when she moved to Melbourne to be near her grandchildren. Now we are welcoming one from Fiji and Grace’s sister from Kashmir because of family. We are blessed.
Another highlight was the concert we had on Saturday night. We had items from Western Australia, Brisbane, and India. The Melbourne Ring, with former Ring members, dressed up as Nuns in black habits and mimed the song that Whoopi Goldberg popularised, “I will follow Him wherever He may go.” Our audience seemed to laugh fit to burst as if they had never seen anything so funny as these old grandmas all dressed in black, (plus tall Steve!) losing their wigs and head pieces. But we so enjoyed watching them trying to hold themselves together.
The evening finished with singing ‘Great Southland of the Holy Spirit’ which was very moving. This was followed by an open mic for prayer for Australia.
All 43 of us went home, feeling much better than when we arrived, our love tanks filled once more. My thanks to everyone who made the necessary sacrifices so that others could be blessed. Praise God!

Uganda - Regional CFO Camp Held From 12 May to 16 May 2026
Theme: “A Walk of Faith” Hebrews 11:6

Shalom CFO family, the NCR Uganda regional recently held their Annual camp.
The camp was held at Restoration International Outreach Church, Bukirayi, Busia, Uganda, in the East and Central Africa Region. The camp was attended by close to one hundred campers from different age groups, including old men and women, youths, and children. Campers were drawn from Busia, Mbarara, Mbale, and other Uganda camps. We also had campers from Kenya, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Day One was arrival, registration and orientation. Day Two was dedicated to training; the campers were trained on how to lead different activities of the daily program from morning meditation to evening talk. Fifty campers were thoroughly trained. Then we had the camp proper on the 3rd and 4th day of the camp, where different campers who had received the training were allowed to lead the programs. It was a full day of the CFO activities ending with the 9 o’clock prayer. The 5th day was half day of CFO activities we began with morning meditation and ended with the world prayer broadcast and blessing service. Campers departed immediately after lunch. The camp was a gathering of CFOers who bonded during the camp period under our theme “A Walk of Faith”. We are looking forward to 2027 for other camps in Uganda and other countries. Many left the camp equipped, inspired and blessed.

CFO Sri Lanka 'A Day Apart'
We thank God for the wonderful opportunity the Lord gave us to meet together after 2019 for a physical CFO Fellowship day/ Day Apart on the 9th of May 2026 at Christ Church Galle Face Sri Lanka (Sunday School Hall) from 9:00am to 1:00pm followed by lunch. A love offering was collected towards the expenses of the day. It was attended by twenty nine CFO’ers. Carmel De Fry welcomed everyone with a grateful heart and Leslie De Alwis led us in the opening prayer. The CFO Orientation was presented by Dulina Seneviratne using a power point presentation and pictures of the history and camps were shown. Story of Rev. Selvaratnam (Periannan), Roland and Marcia Brown, Dr. Glenn Clark and the CFO journey of 72 years in Sri Lanka. A time of singing was led by Irene Sri Renganathan followed by a heartwarming talk by Rev. Sam Amos. He spoke of God’s mighty hand upon him and his life journey. Thereafter a time of fellowship with a cup of tea was enjoyed. Devotion in motion by Mano De Alwis brought a time for the body to move in unison and movement which brought much needed release and conditioning from stretching. Jeya Balan led the time of Creatives – writing and art by personally listening to God was experienced by those who gathered and their sharing was meaningful. Some past members really appreciated the fellowship day and thanked us for organising during this sharing time. After the final prayer by Dr. Vasanthy a fellowship meal was enjoyed by everyone.

'Fragrance' (HFO Talk)

2 Corinthians 2: 14-16
But thanks be to God, who in the Messiah constantly leads us in a triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know him! 15 For to God we are the aroma of the Messiah, both among those being saved and among those being lost; 16 to the latter, we are the smell of death leading only to more death; but to the former, we are the sweet smell of life leading to more life. Who is equal to such a task?
Smell is one of our first senses and they say the last sense as we die.
The fragrance of life. What is it to you? The smell of freshly cut grass. The smell of rain. The ocean waves rolling in and over me. Salt water has a special smell.
Then there is the fragrance we associate with people. My Mom wore Channel No. 5. My Dad – Old Spice. I associate cinnamon and the sweetness of frosting with my Mom. For my Dad it is cherry pipe tobacco and sawdust. One brother introduced me to the smell of cannabis. A sister wore the smell of pools and chlorine.
I associate the smell of love with my dogs and cats. What do yours smell like? What fragrances make you smile?
Honey. Roses. Vanilla. Lilacs. Cloves. Honeysuckle and jasmine filling the night with its fragrance.
I pondered how God can know each one of us and keep track of who we are, where we are and what we are doing. Think of being in an airplane landing over a city. All the lights. We are lights in the darkness of this world. God sees our lights individually and mutually. Together our light is stronger. I think that is why Jesus always had 12 disciplines. His light added to theirs made 13. I think that is a holy number.
Each of us has a vibration. A musical note. We are a symphony in God’s ears. I read that the angels are in constant song to our Lord. I like that.
Then there is fragrance. Animals can separate us by our smell. I am most familiar with dogs and cats. Jesus talked about sheep. Sheep knew their masters’ voice and smell. I had a goat, but never sheep. My animals knew us by smell. Dogs can smell cancer. My dog, Lassie was raised to be a companion and aid to a boy with cancer and seizures. She laid on him to protect him during seizures. When he died, she joined our family. She was our guardian for as long as she lived. It was her sense of smell that saved and guarded that boy and our family of 7. Animals sense danger, fear and disease by smell.
People have fragrances. There is the fragrance of a newborn. That baby smell is precious. There is the smell of good hard work in sweat that is different than under arm odor. There is the stinky feet of adolescence. There is the smell of blood, urine and feces. These can denote health and illness. A foul, rotten, or chemical smell alert you to danger. Sewer treatment plants test for viruses, microplastics and pregnancy among other things. There are so many ways we keep track of each other. Then there is a smell of death.
Fragrances invoke feelings. We seek to achieve peace, clarity, and rejuvenation through scents. Scents are used across cultures to signal the divine, cleanse the spirit, and enhance rituals. Many religions use incense and fragrance to enhance personal and communal spiritual rituals.
Have you ever caught a sudden, unexplained whiff of a fragrance—like roses, vanilla, or incense—with no logical source? This experience is more common than you might think. What does it mean? Is that you Lord?
Often dismissed as imagination or a some scent drifting by, there are spiritual traditions that believe mysterious aromas are profound messages from God. They are called visitations from beyond the veil, gentle nudges from the universe, or signs that you are precisely where you need to be on your life’s path. Life is full of crossroads and decisions that leave us questioning our choices. An unexplained pleasant fragrance can act as a spiritual confirmation or “divine yes.” Think of it as a cosmic thumbs-up. You might be pondering a major life change—a new job, a move, a relationship—and suddenly smell a beautiful perfume.
Aromas like sage, frankincense, salt, sweet grass, ozone or cedar are cleansing scents. Have you ever spiritually cleansed a room? Remember the smell of ozone after a thunderstorm? Scents can relieve emotional and spiritual weight, making room for lighter, brighter vibrations to enter through the grace of Jesus. We are to God a pleasing aroma.
Our prayers, intentions, and creativity are manifestations of the Holy Spirit and please our Lord. I encourage you to maintain a state of gratitude and positive expectation, as your desires move from the spiritual and realm of energy into reality. Enjoy and spread the beautiful aroma of unconditional love. God is love. Love is God.

Dear Jesus,
Help us to spread your fragrance, everywhere we go. Flood our souls with your spirit and life. Penetrate and possess our whole being so utterly that our lives may only be a radiance of yours. Shine through us and be so in so that our lives may only be a radiance of yours shine through us and be so in us that every soul we come in contact with. May we feel your presence in our soul.
