THE CFOI EAST AFRICA REGIONAL TRAINING
The CFOI regional training that ran from 18th to 22nd of April 2023 were held at FOUNTAIN OF HOPE CHURCH at MUTUNGU- LILONGWE in MALAWI.
MALAWI is found in the southern part of the East Africa region according to the CFOI geographic map.
THE THEME OF THE CAMP :
“Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good”— Psalms 107:1.
The CFOI regional training was the best ever held in the region going by the number of the countries represented. We had representation from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, USA and the host, Malawi.
By the magnitude of their presence, the CFO’ers from all walks of life came to give thanks to the Lord for He was good to each one of them.
Righteousness is an attribute of GOD. In people, it is conformity to God’s plan standard. Since every CFO’er possesses this righteousness there is no reason we would be commanded to put it on. It is an accomplished fact also known as justification.
A serious amount of energy is demanded as you put first your duties and responsibilities towards the CFO family. You must always be good about doing the things you promise to do. The training, though it had its own challenges, taught the audience that as CFO’ers we are naturally generous with those we love. We can be a significant source of comfort or support to someone in need. The training was for five days and we were able to get in touch with some of our favorite people. This made each one feel confident.
Appreciating that we are different and therefore entitled to think differently, goes a long way as we come together as CFO family, from all walks of life. Appreciating those different cultures the CFO way is as key in coming together as it is in other leadership areas. The camp experienced, ” The warm heart of AFRICA” as is the national slogan for the Malawian country.
There is potential in the southern countries of the East Africa region and it can be nurtured by putting emphasis in setting up the training for each country. Most of the representatives from a pool of CFO trainees agreed that they have learned valuable knowledge to run their prayer groups and camps effectively. However, because they have not practiced this knowledge over time, they do not feel confident in training others. Countries like ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE, MOZAMBIQUE, BURUNDI, UGANDA and RWANDA need training for their people which requires skilled trainers.
May I use the opportunity to applaud the team of RICHARD and JOASH for the resilience they had shown in support of managing the training against all odds.

We thank God for He is good.
